Dreams are a way of connecting to subconscious, to deal with fears and insecurities relating to delivery or baby care. Occasional dreams can be ignored. If persistent or scary then counselling is essential. Relaxation techniques, walking before bed time, mild yoga or exercises, reading books or articles on pregnancy and baby care can be useful.

 

  1. How can the family help a woman from not having vivid dreams?

Family can help a pregnant woman relax by having meals together, discussing about their experiences of delivery in a positive context, share their experiences of baby care in a positive and funnier note and reduce the anxiety she may be feeling. They can have outings and walks and husband can attend some antenatal classes with her and share her anxiety and make her feel comfortable.
